The Mouth Doesn't Have A Say

The mouth doesn't have a say
Words are embedded beneath the tongue
And laid flat like a tray
One part is doing the other thing, now this has turned into a fray
The body needs to leave but the mind wants to stay
Like a play, there's a loss or a win
The body is manhandled like a wimp,
Pulled back and forth like the wind
Until it is weary and becomes a wince
What comes from the mouth can be sharp like a knife
Especially when it's originating from an angry wife
Nonetheless, words are just words at the end of the day
And I wish that some days never end
The tongue has befriended the mouth but it can always betray
Cause when the mouth speaks it twists and turns what it says it even pretends
The mouth don't have a say indeed
What can it utter while everything is governed by what lies beneath?
A true friend is only true when they don't change their expression after you meet
